War Child works
with children all over the world to reduce the effects of
poverty, provide an education and to defend and promote child
rights. War Child works to help children whose lives have been
torn apart by conflict, to provide them with the means to build
a brighter future. War Child works with local people and
organizations in Afghanistan, Sudan (Darfur), Uganda, Sierra
Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka,
Georgia and Haiti.

World Vision
is Canada's largest private relief and development agency.
In 2007, Canadians sponsored 454,309 children around the world.
Child sponsorship helps fund World Vision Canada’s international
long-term development projects. World Vision Canada has a long
history of partnering with the Canadian International
Development Agency (CIDA) and other government bodies in
overseas development and in addressing global issues, such as
child rights, hunger, and health.

The Grey Bruce
Falcons Special Hockey Program is a team composed of
Developmentally Challenged athletes. Their players are given the
opportunity to play hockey regardless of gender, age or ability.
They endeavour to give our players a sense of community
involvement which in the past has been limited to observing and
not participating. This experience gives these players a chance
to form close and lasting friendships with their peers and
permits them to learn about sportsmanship. The players are able
to develop at their own pace with the help of a group of
dedicated volunteers who emphasize fun while learning. For more
